Movie day and car doctors

I have had yet another good day...this is fast forming a habit for me and each day I am feeling mentally stronger. My ears are still messed up and hurt but I can cope with the pain as there are meds for that but couldn't cope with the moodiness. I haven't really done anything special today, got up too earlier as the car needed its MOT and service done. We were kind of dreading this as it was the first one but she flew through it with only one minor issue go Tali.

Apart from that I have spent most of the day like this
I had an evil dead movie marathon today with Doug protecting me from the deadites. The first film was really scary, the second funny but the third was hilarious. Really glad I watched them.

Me and Doug did move from the sofa for our daily walk this time it was definitely going to be a short one
1.1 miles not too shabby to be honest considering only a few weeks ago I was doing nothing.

I had a delivery from the postie today which I am looking forward to trying out.
Food wise I have enjoyed these noms today...and even resisted a chippy tea which Rich fancied. I was nice and took him to the chippy then made my own dinner.
Bfree wrap (HEB) with three low low slices (HEA) sausages and mushrooms
Butternut squash and sweet potato soup with two mini wholemeal subs (HEB) leftover quorn roast, cucumber and 2tsp of flora lighter than light (1 syn)
Rest of the leftover quorn roast, two linda mccartney rosemary and red onion sausages mash and veg. I put a butter bud in the mash (0.5)...think it needs something else to make it creamier and used 1.5 syns on the gravy.
Banana, fudge muller dessert (4.5) warmed and a bubbly bite (3 syns)

Going to head to bed after Eastenders so night night all xoxo

Lazy Sunday

Today has mostly been spent in this position....
I haven't done much today with the exception of my walk first thing....a walk that was supposed to just be a quick one as I was still aching from yesterdays exertions but turned into a 2.5 mile walk
Not 100% sure if I am coming down with something as this is unusual levels of activity for me ;) I am keeping a note of this movement malarky for my silver body magic award.

Once we got home I decided to have a bubble bath and put on a movie on the ipad. The movie theme continued when I got out of the bath and I've enjoyed Cloudy with a chance of meatballs (though it did make me hungry) Byzantium and now have Jack the giant slayer on which isn't too bad.

I will shortly be heading to bed as rather sleepy today so will catch you up on the food of the day.
Slimming world friendly fried breakfast 1.5 syns for the quorn bacon and 1 syn for the tomato sauce (tesco reduced salt and sugar 0.5 per tbsp).
Marks and Spencers mini wholemeal subs (2 for a HEB) with quorn chicken fillet pieces and cucumber. There is also 2 tsp of flora lighter than light (1 syn) and 3 babybel for my HEA.
Movie snack of a banana, persimmon and apple with a caramel and apple weight watchers dessert yogurt (F).
Epic roast with quorn roast a mound of veggies and 1.5 syns for the gravy.
Slimming world brownie (1.5) 100g of low fat custard (4.5) christmas pudding hifi bar (HEB) and banana. It was gorgeous.

The chocolate monster did try and come out a bit earlier but it was only because I'm tired and I refused to feed it as I don't want to ruin a good week.

Hope everyone reading is okay night night all xoxo

Sore feet happy face

Today has been such a fun day, my feet are aching but I am a proper happy girlie right now. The day started far too early as I couldn't sleep well last night so I intended up deciding to get out and take Doug out for a walk.
My intention was to only do a short walk but we just kept going. It was really cold but it was nice to be out and get the miles under my belt. Once we got home it was time to warm up with a nice coffee and have some breakfast.
40g of dorset simply fruity with fruit and yogurt.

Once Rich was up and ready we headed into town to do our shopping. It was really fun wandering around and exploring town and picking up some Christmas presents for people. The German christmas market has opened and it smelt glorious but we resisted the naught foods which I am proud of because a few weeks ago I would have divebombed the churro stand but instead I didnt. We were force fed a chocolate in Hotel Chocolat but one chocolate is not the end of the world...and it was yummy a nice mulled wine chocolate.
Love the fact that there is a Yankee Candle shop in Bristol now and we wandered around there for a bit.

We took a break from shopping to have lunch at Yo! Sushi, it's been a while since we have been in there but when eating out its a really good place to try as there are some syn free and low syn options. I even asked for my the vegetable yakisoba to be cooked without oil.

The sushi is cucumber maki which is free on green, the beans are edamame beans which are also free. I have been unable to find the yakisoba online but I know from previous experience that it is really low. Rich enjoyed the naughtier aspects of the menu and we got through a fair few bowls (mine are the green and blue pile)
After lunch Rich went for coffee and I went shopping for some me bits before meeting back up with him again which included this awesome mug
The coffee came from a little stall on the German market and they are banoffee, chocolate and cappuccino flavour.

We headed home via Asda with all our goodies, here are some of the bits I can show you

Tiredness hit me as soon as I walked in the door so I was glad this morning I had the brain power switched on and had put a chilli in the slow cooker.
Had I not been prepared then I would have ended up with a takeaway so I am glad I had taken the time to sort this. There was so much too that I have tons to freeze...one take tomorrow is sort out the freezer as it's full at the moment. mainly because I'm not good at keeping it tidy. From the chilli I managed to create this beautiful meal
The rice is the mexican batchelors savoury rice and the bowl is made from the healthy B wrap using one of these.
I got them on Amazon and they are so simple to use. I just put the wrap into the bowl made sure it was in the corners and then baked for 5 minutes.

Thats all from me today as I am very sleepy from our day out and will be heading to bed in a minute night night all xoxo

Fabulous Friday

Today has been a pretty fabulous day in part because it's Friday which means time with my lovely Rich. I spent most of the morning catching up on more American Horror Story and then Under the dome and relaxing with the Dougmeister whilst waiting for the postman to turn up...which he did eventually (seems he is getting later each day). I had a lovely delivery from Butter-Buds-UK who make these
These are sachets of dried butter which you can add to things like pasta or potato and apparently are really good. They are 1/2 syn each which is pretty good for buttery mash. I am looking forward to trying them out.

Me and Doug went on a fun walk these afternoon it was a route we have done before but Doug was running around lots and we were playing. It was one of those days where I just felt happy watching him running around.
He did try and go into the gym we walked past too...that was pretty hilarious for me as he would walk in look about walk about and kept doing this several times. Luckily the gym people were overwhelmed by his cuteness.

Once we were back and recovered for about 30 seconds we went to get Rich from work. I had a chore to do in town but unfortunately it ended up with an hour wait so we decided to have a small wander around town with Doug in tow. He was in heaven once he found the German Christmas market as some kind person had dropped a Churro on the floor which he snarfed very quickly...not wander the little mite has to lose a few lbs if he is going to enjoy floor food! It was fun wandering around with Rich and Doug.
Simple things really but as I learnt from Zombieland this evening one of the rules is to appreciate the little things and spending time with the boys always cheers me up.

Food wise today has been good...even with the temptation of the Christmas market...boy does it smell good there but I'd rather have a good loss on Tuesday than the goodies on sale....I think I have had a brain transplant.

Mushroom omelette with cheese (HEA) and the first of many coffees.
Stir fry vegetables and noodles with a sauce made with soy sauce and chinese five spice and a cup of vanilla chai tea.
Fakbonara aka fake carbonara. I used quorn bacon (1.5 syns for two slices) and half a tub of low low (HEB). The garlic bread is made with a tbsp of flora lighter than light, a weight watchers petit pain (HEB) and some garlic granules and parsley.
8 syns of yumminess I made the slimming world brownie from 30g of cocoa, 30g of sweetener, vanilla essence and 3 eggs seperated. You mix the cocoa, essence and sweetener with the egg yolks. I whisked the egg whites until they formed soft peeks and then combined. I cooked the brownies for 20 minutes on 180.  They work out at 5.5 for the whole brownie I just rounded it up to 6 for easy maths. The custard was 6 syns for 100g of custard (it was full fat naughtiness).

Tomorrow me and Rich are having a date day I cannot wait :D night night all xoxo

Thursday fun

Today has been another good day and my mood is improving by the day. The ears are but at least I'm smiling. I had some good news today too which i will share with you all soon.

I haven't done a great deal today, spent most of it either chatting to Mitchy and Rich watching Masterchef and American Horror Story: The Coven or playing with Doug. He has killed his new snow dog toy...it had a good death...lots of stuffing ripped out!

Apart from that it has been a pretty quiet day, once I dropped Rich off at work I decided to go straight out with Doug as I needed to be in for a delivery.
Only a short walk today but it was good fun and Doug got tons of attention....he normally does as he has a cute face but it was crazy today.

Food wise today has been a day of fab noms starting with breakfast
Low fat quorn sausages and mushrooms with three slices of low low cheese. The bread is an aldi sub roll which is a HEB plus 2 syns.
Lunch butternut squash with quorn mince in it and hex of cheese on top (well most of it the rest went on the salad).
Quorn chicken satay (3 syns) with egg fried rice and stir fry. The satay sauce was really simply to make, it is 1.5 tbsp of reduced fat peanut butter, 70ml of water, 1/2 tbsp of soya sauce and some garlic powder. You just cook it all in a pan until it begins to thicken. The sauce is 6 syns split between me and Rich.
Tad obsessed with this pudding at the moment, fruit and a warmed chocolate muller dessert.

I am now going to spend the evening watching more Breaking Bad night night all xoxo

Wicked Wednesday

Evening all and hope you have all had a good Wednesday. I have actually had a really good day. It's the time of year where the postman is hopefully bringing us lots of lovely goodies so the morning was spent waiting incase he showed up with anything pretty....he brought a bill....the postman does not understand the concept of bringing nice things clearly! I decided to make the morning a bit of a movie session firstly watching Identity Thief whilst chatting to Mitchy via email and then watching Mama which was so creepy and gave me the proper heebee jeebies. It's been a while since a film has done that!

Once the films were done and the postman had been with his disappointing post me and Doug set out for a walk. I had planned to walk down to the pets shop as it's a decent walk there and decided to get him a treat (non food related) when we got there. He decided to try and shop in Next, Homesense and tried to run into Subway too the little minx but we got into the pet shop and he had a fuss made of him. I got him a hedgehog type toy and a fun ball that dispenses treats if he plays with it right so it will challenge him more than just sitting there looking cute which he has hands down. Once I had spent my money we headed back and managed to clock up 2.8 miles.
Once we were done we headed to Asda to get a few bits then pick Rich up from work and then came home and relaxed. I enjoyed an hour in Morganville whilst drinking my Vanilla Chai tea.
Food wise the day has shaped up like this.
Magic pancakes with 2 tsps of honey drizzled over the top (1 syn as used rowse honey) with banana and apple.
Broccoli, spinach and blue cheese soup (1.5 syns) its really tasty and simple to make. I chopped some onions, lobbed in frozen broccoli and spinach and some stock and cooked for about 15 minutes. I then blitzed it with 4 blue cheese laughing cow triangles and made four portions so 1.5 syns each.
Burger Bake (1 syn and HEA), slimming world chips and salad. The burger bake is so simple to make I put cooked off some onions, added garlic, chopped tomatoes and some herbs and cooked until the onions were soft. I then added four quorn burgers (1/2 syn per burger) on the bottom of a dish, poured the tomato sauce on the top and then added my healthy extra of cheese. The tomato mix soaks into the burgers and is fab.
Chopped banana with a warmed fudge muller dessert on the top (4.5 syns).
I finished up the evening watching Breaking Bad and enjoying a hot chocolate and hifi bar.

Tomorrow I am hoping to do my essay as been neglecting it and I need to get my decreasing but into gear. I will be heading to bed soon so night night all xoxo
