Confidence

Today has been a strange day so when this popped up on my news feed it felt very appropriate. I really did want to just curl up on the sofa and enter a world that wasn't the one I was in. It was odd as I wasn't feeling down in the dumps just a bit reflective I guess. It all started with a difficult telephone call not something that's the norm in my job but something that in my previous life as a Paralegal wouldn't faze me at all but since I left that world and had to deal with the crap last year my confidence has taken a knock and I am definitely not the same as I used to be. I don't yet know if this is for the better or worse but it's an adventure! I do need to work on my confidence in certain circumstances like telling someone to wait their turn for the water tap instead of moaning...we have one tap that runs the hot and cold for drinks and it can be slow to heat up so pushing in to get some water just because you walked up a hill is just rude when there is a queue grrr.

Apart from that I did the usual walk Doug then relaxed for a bit with The Walking Dead book whilst multi talking (texting three different friends about three different topics at the same time) before we made dinner (and flew Doug around the kitchen to the top gun soundtrack). This evening is some TV watching before curling up in bed probably with my kindle as the book I am reading on that is fab.

Food wise today shaped up like this
30g Granola (HEB) fruit and yogurt with the start of many coffees (HEA)
Two slices of low low (HEA) and grapes
Quorn BBQ fillets, beetroot and mixed salad
 Fruit
 Crisps (3.5)
Pasta bake and salad, in the pasta is a homemade napoli sauce, courgettes and a leftover BBQ quorn fillet and 65g of cheese (HEB and 4 syns)
Muller cheesecake yogurt (1) and two nutra grain biscuits (5).

I'm going to finish up the evening watching Secret Eaters then head to bed so night night all xoxo

Positivity

So this may be a bit of a strange title considering I have been to weigh in tonight and gained 2lbs however there are positives to gain from this. Firstly it is 30 days until the glorious Mitchy comes to visit Bristol with many plans of trifle and cheese afoot, I have made a vow to stay on plan 100% until she arrives and would like to achieve this. I am also feeling positive that I only gained 2lbs as feared much worse. I know I can get rid of that by just sticking to plan.

I am also feeling positive because I have now got two days on plan under my belt and did not have the usual weigh in night black hole food (takeaway, cake crisps all in the excess) I actually had an on plan meal and syns within my daily limit...miracles do occur!!  For me I thought treat nights were a good idea until I really looked at it, the treat night became a week and escalated into me putting nearly half my loss back on again.I know some people can get away with it and can still lose but it just doesn't work for me anymore both mentally and weight wise.

Apart from weigh in today was back to normality with work and I had quite a full day which made the day go nice and quickly. Once we got home from work I took Doug out and settled down to relax a bit before heading to face the scales.
Food wise today looked like this....
35g Raspberry Malt Wheats (HEB) with banana, cherries, blueberries, raspberries and a muller light and coffee (HEA used throughout the day)
 Mid morning grapes
Minestrone soup 3 babybels (HEA) and fruit
Big mac in a bowl (HEB for cheese and 1 syn for 2tbsp of light thousand island dressing) and SW chips.
Muller light dessert yogurt (1) freddo (5) and nak'd raisins (3.5) taking the total too 10.5.

That's all for me tonight night night all xoxo

P.S If you fancy helping me and my lovely Liz raise money in aid of Bath Cats and Dogs home and support us on our 6 mile walk with the pugs then here is the link.

Oblivion

Not sure what happened between my last blog and now but I have gone from being comfy on the bus to first feeling like I'd missed my stop then slipping off into an oblivion. I got annoyed with myself but this didn't stop me. I just wanted to feel like a normal person who can eat what they want and not worry or binge...

I obviously have issues I need to deal with but being off plan doesn't help that. I did make a decision to deal with my crisp issue by having a bag a day....shame i then shove other stuff in my mouth. Hopefully though getting myself back on plan from now until when Mitchy comes down in May will help. I got back on plan today and so far I have managed to ignore the cravings. I also decided to do a food diary so I can keep track of what I am eating as well as taking the pictures plus means I can use my cool notebook.
It's actually been a nice day, I spent the morning in Sunnydale watching one of my favourite shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Me and Rich then went to see The Amazing Spiderman 2 which was brilliant.
Food wise it has been a good day and I have finished up on 12.5 syns
SW friendly fry up with only 1 syn for the tomato sauce washed down with coffee (HEA).
Mushroom, courgette and onion cheese omelette (HEA) with salad
Rich decided to do a BBQ so I had quorn sausages, quorn fillets and veggie kebabs with salad SW BBQ chips and BBQ sauce (2)
Game of Thrones snacks oreos (5) muller (1) crisps (3.5) and salted caramel hifi (HEB).

I am going to log off now and settle down to the aftermath of last weeks Game of Thrones....cannot wait!!

Double Dose

I didn't get a chance to blog last night as once we finished watching our Friday night movie it was quite late and bed was calling so a bit of a recap to yesterday first. It was a pretty good day for some reason I was really happy for absolutely no reason which meant I spent most of the day with a smile on my face. Work was it's usual self and when I was done for the day I headed to pick up Rich. Despite the traffic my mood didn't diminish I cranked up the windows and entertained Bristol with my singing.

Me and Rich did our usual shopping chore...though does anyone else go shopping and still manage to forget stuff? I do click and collect and missed a few items off. Once we got home I took Doug out to enjoy the sun for a bit
As is the norm on a Friday night we settle down to a movie last nights choice was Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows which was really good. I do like a bit of Robert Downey Jr.

Food wise I had my 3rd day on plan though did go over my syns by 1 but not going to panic about that.
35g of special k granola fruit and yogurt with coffee
 Grapes mid morning
Leftover spicy quorn steam with cous cous and fruit

BBQ topped quorn fillets, Rich helped with this dish he topped the quorn fillets with cheese then wrapped in quorn bacon, we then topped in BBQ sauce and then topped with feta so two HEX of cheese used.
Whilst we watched the movie I had two lots of 23g special k crackers (10) with two bubbly bites (6).

On to today, we had planned to sort out some unopened boxes from when we moved into the house to ensure we were only keeping things we wanted. We managed to go through all the boxes with some assistance from Doug.
We made good work of our task and got to the tip to offload the rubbish before the task of sitting on the sofa and doing nothing happened. I did some reading before watching my beloved Arsenal get through to the FA cup final....a very tense and emotional game that included extra time and penalties.
Food wise it has been another good on plan day
Good old 'fry up' with 1 syn for the tomato sauce
Quorn chicken salad sandwich with 0.5 for the tbsp of mayo and 4 syns for the velvet crunch. I had some fruit too
Kebab and chips, we made the kebab meat using quorn steak fillets and it worked really well (recipe I used is below). Rich stuffed the pitta (WW so a HEB) with HEA of cheese and then the kebab meat. It was really successful as not tried this with quorn before but a definite one to try again.
Pudding 1 syn for the muller light, 5 for the aero biscuit and 3 for the bubbly bite so the total 14.5.

I am heading to bed in a bit once I stop drooling over the great british bake off night night all xoxo

Day two under the belt

Today has officially been a good day! Not only have I been a happy lady most of the day I managed to get through the entire day without any stomach issues or dizzy spells yay me! This is definitely progress and I love being back to my normal weird self!

Apart from work much of today has been spent planning mine and Mitchy's Maycation, many awesome plans have been formed and I really can't wait!! I am going to show her the highlights of Bath, Bristol and the glory that is Wookey Hole (or chewbacca's bum as dubbed by Hague) and Cheddar gorge. It will be a weekend of much awesome giggling and some not so on plan noms ;)

As I was feeling a lot more healthy I decided to finally to crack open the zumba game for the wii that my lovely future mother in law got me for Christmas and give it a go. I expected to not being able to do the full workout and feel awful but I surprised myself by managing it although it was tough....and I lack coordination! I know your supposed to follow the lady showing you what to do and in the most part I did until I couldn't quite follow her so decided to just wiggle my butt in time until the next move came on.
Now a quick bit of research shows that I got about 60% of the high score which is 700 so not too bad for the first go. The calender tells me the next session is Monday so I will be trying to beat my score ;)

Other than jiggling about this evening has been good, Rich chose me another book from my book spa pile which I can't wait to read especially as the bookshop dubbed it the welsh x-men!
Me and Rich also had a combined effort cooking dinner tonight helped by a bit of cheesy music!
You can't beat a bit of 80's music and I really need to get an 80's CD!!

Food wise it has been a good day on plan again :D
Raspberry malt wheats (HEB) with fruit and yogurt and a coffee (HEA of milk used during the day) that I brought with me from home as it was one of those days where I was to be powered on coffee....plus my travel mug is epic!
Sure you all know what this is...
Quorn BBQ fillets and feta (HEB) salad with fruit
Spicy quorn steak enchilada type thing, the wraps are made with egg (expertly made by Rich) and topped with HEA of cheese. We served this with SW chips which Rich coated in BBQ frylight.
TV snacks coming to 13 syns.

I'm going to head to bed in a bit with my kindle as I am multi book reading at the moment (it's like one of my superpowers) night night you lovely people xoxo

Like a Boomerang

I'm like a boomerang I dissapear but always come back so I am back again to entertain the masses (maybe...). I did actually start this blog last week but illness took over.

So lets zoom back to Tuesday and what started as a normal work day. I woke up feeling not right but thought I was just tired so plodded off to work and got started on my day. By 9am I was feeling very odd, I felt like the room was spinning around me but I decided to ignore it and drink more water unfortunately it didn't go away and the dizzy feeling kept getting worse along with nausea. By 11 I knew I couldn't stay at work so after a chat with my boss I headed home.

Once I got home I parked myself on the sofa and rested with the intention of calling the doctor for afternoon surgery as soon as they reopened from lunch. I didn't manage this as fell asleep on the sofa and woke up nearly 3 hours later having missed the opportunity.
Thanks to my gorgeous friend I managed to get to weigh in which I am glad I did as the scales showed me an amazing 7lb loss!! I was over the moon as that is a good chunk of my hideous gain gone.

The rest of the week was taken up with sitting on the sofa feeling sorry for myself and watching many superhero movies.  The diagnosis from the doctor was Gastroenteritis and vertigo on top. I faced the scales again last night with a gain again. I am really annoyed with myself at the moment as after the big loss I managed to put half of it back on. I need to get back on the wagon as it is just stupid.

So that's what I did today, I was back at work thankfully and back into a routine which always helps me stick to plan. Work flew by and me and Mitchy made plans for our Maycation which is going to be so much fun. Food wise the day has looked like this
Weetabix choc minis (HEB) fruit and yogurt with a coffee (HEA used throughout the day)
 Mid morning snack
Quorn BBQ fillets and salad with fruit
Bit of relaxation time with the last of my HEA of milk and my book.
Quorn meatballs in a homemade tomato sauce with tagliatelle and topped with HEA of cheese. The garlic bread was made using a weight watchers petit pain (HEB) with 1tbsp of flora lighter than light and garlic frylight.
TV snacks 10 syns taking my total too 11.5.

Hopefully I can get back into the habit of following the plan and blogging.  Night night all xoxo
